I want to start my cat on a raw food diet, does anyone have any suggestions and or recipes? - raw diet recipes

Recently I discovered how bad processed food is to feed a cat. I am interested in getting my cat on a diet of raw food. I need suggestions and / or recipes to start. I live in an urban environment, and I am personally against Shred meat. Can anyone help?

  3. My dog was a first plan. It was a real pain. I spent more time preparing food than mine.
Premium Dog Food is a long tube to freeze or rot very quickly. Then you should see the unique and weighed on a scale. I do not know how the raw cat food commercial. Booze is good. My dog loved it. But he has weaned and begun Merrick super-premium food, and he is so happy.
My vet has also discouraged the raw food. She said it was a threat to the food security of people in the house and the fact that pets do not have a return for many years and are therefore not equipped to digest the raw materials similar to prehistoric ancestors were so anticipated problems.
He said that Cornell University has a study room, where a wage rate that small dogs or cats in their nutrient content for your type of animal. He suggested that I check. I did not know, because I decided I had enough raw materials ... It was really a pain. And my dog looks so healthy with good food extra. Check it out.

  4. If you do this, you must be careful to ensure you get all the important vitamins and nutrients your cat needs. Talk to your veterinarian first if you can refuse to chop the meat, you will limit your options. It may be a trade option, as can be frozen or supplements that you add the meat and buy at a local store. Buy from a reliable butcher, not the supermarket. You can not eat on the plate for long.

One of my cats eat a mixture of small prey, and Meow Mix mixed seafood. She is 15 and still very healthy. He does not eat anything.

  6. Seattle has easy access to raw food. Yahoo Groups may also be useful. One I like is WholeCatHealth. There you can mix and welcome to the switch with your cat - not all cats raw food can accept if witnessed in my life. Cats have eaten the canned food, are easier to make, and for some people, a necessary first step.

I have a home-made food for my cats for eight years. I use powdered supplement cat instincts, because I'm lazy when it comes to buying a supplement that comes separately and together.

I always ground meat (chicken and turkey) in smaller markets, where the meat is low, as necessary not packed - and is free of hormones and antibiotics.

So my process is as simple as mixing a meat pie 2 pounds for a family (but not for cooking the meat). Can I freeze it in muffin I propose to thaw one gallons Ziploc bags as needed. At the moment I have two cats and a muffin is good to share his dinner. Two pounds of groundMeat makes a dozen muffins for me. I am in the morning doses.

When using ground meat loses the benefit of the tooth cleaning properties of meat on the bones and chewing. My cats do not just eat the bulk material, so I had to accept and bear the burden of cleaning the teeth on an annual basis.

Dr. Jean Hovfe http://www.littlebigcat.com in an article entitled "Easy features homemade food for dogs and cats" that gives you an idea of the best supplements that you need in your recipe.

Please note that meat should have a source of calcium in the diet. Otherwise, phosphorus, calcium balance is eliminated, and it would be healthy for your cat. My recipe calls for four ounces chicken or turkey liver for vitamin A and in chicken or turkey meat set many hearts as I have extra taurine (taurine) is raw meat.
